Maeva had a tough obedience exam tonight. Tough because we were not allowed to use a reward, which we do still use during the training (and because we didn't know we weren't allowed to use it during the exam). All the exercises were done in succession and we were not allowed to reward in between either. Maev did quite well nevertheless. She shared the highest score with a German Shepherd and belonged to the minority that graduated and is allowed to go to the advance training group. We are very proud of her!

Last Saturday we went to the race track in Velp for the second coursing training of the season. Aoide and Mirtillo ran together and Maeva ran her first two complete courses alone. Next week we'll go to Amsterdam for the first competition of the season. Mirtillo is a veteran, so only Aoide will compete. Maeva is allowed to run a test course. Below you will find two movies of the second course of Aoide, Mirtillo and Maeva from this weekend. Pretty Maeva entered the ring at the international dog show in Groningen last weekend. The judge went over all the dogs on the ground. A complete new experience for Maeva, but she had no problem with it whatsoever. She got a 1 Excellent in youth class with her first JCAC and became best bitch with her first CAC.
The judge was Mr. M. Inzoli from Italy and this was his judge report: "Feminine in general. Correct size. Correct wrinkles and expression. Correct neck. A little bit long in loins. Correct topline in movement. Quite good croup. Free movement. Quite good size of ears. 1 Excellent, JCAC, CAC" |
