Last Sunday we were again in Oude Pekela to course with the Basenjis. This time it was a training. Aoide ran together with Mirtillo and Maeva ran alone. It was her first time to course with a muzzle and she ran two very nice courses. Next week she will try to get her license during the national coursing competition in Lichtenvoorde.

The WRV Midland organised a national racing competition in Lelystad Sunday May 8th. Aoide and Figo were the only two Basenjis entered. Because of the high temperature it was decided by the organisation to let the dogs run twice instead of three times. Aoide won both races, but Figo made sure it were exciting races. Aoide's times were 31.13 s and 31.82 s. Mirtillo was allowed to run two solo courses. His times were 31.58 s and 32.09 s. Because of the cancelled courses, Maeva also got a chance to run. It was her first time to run the entire track and it was her first time starting from a box, but she did great. Her time was 30.77 s. Aoide's daughter Debbie and her owners came to cheer Aoide on.
