Saturday August 17th was the German Basenji Speciality (BKD). It was a wonderful day with great company, great weather and great results! Aoide became third with an excellent in a strong intermediate class. Judge was Doreen Duffin from Australia and this is what she thought of Aoide:
"Very fine quality bitch, but I would like slightly more substance for her age. Very pleasing head, good length of neck, well laid shoulders, good feet and bone, level topline, good hind quarters, with good shelf behind. Tail could be slightly higher set with a better curl."
Aoide's sister Ariniti became second and Best Bitch/BOS first in the same class. Also a nice third place and an excellent for Aoide's sister Ashti in a big open class. Aoide's lovely brother Johnny became first in his class and then went on to win Best Male and Best of Breed/BISS!! Johnny and Ashti became Best brace and all four Burudika pups Best breeder group!! To top it off Aoide won "Best red and white coat" and was runner up for "Best movement" in the perfectly organized sweepstakes! What an amazing day!
On Sunday there was a training at the race track in Hünstetten. The weather wasn't as great as the day before, but the dogs had a lot of fun. Did I mention it was a wonderful weekend?
On the picture below are the four Burudika A-babies that were present in Trechtingshausen: Aoide, Johnny, Ariniti and Ashti.
