Because of the amount of work we have decided to stop posting news in Dutch and English. All updates that are posted in Dutch can be found in English on my Facebook account. Important notices will still be posted here.

The Basenji Cup was held at the race track in Oude Pekela last Sunday. Maeva won this race last year and she brought the 1.7 meter cup home then. Unfortunately this year she couldn't compete, because she's in heat. Aoide and Mirtillo did compete though. And even better: Tonda and his two Basenji brothers were there as well all the way from the Czech Republic! Tonda even ended up second! Aoide became sixth and Mirtillo ninth. The weather and company were great and we are already looking forward to next year's race!

​Maeva ran two clean runs for her racing license (track) and she is now allowed to participate in official competitions!​

This weekend was the triathlon at the coursing club. The triathlon is a three day event with a different race each day: an oval race, a hurdle run (unfortunately canceled because of the extreme heat) and a coursing with a change of lure. I had to work, so couldn't enter the Basenjis, but Aoide was lucky! She spent the weekend with Frency Heidekamp and did compete. She did great too, gaining an overall (and all breed) second place!

Super exciting news from the Czech Republic! Tonda (Suaralayn Orange Boy) won a first place (1/10) and his third CACT at an LC competition last weekend. This makes him a Lure Coursing Champion! 

Big congrats to Tonda and his owners Katka and Honza!

The Wind Snow Cup was held in the Czech Republic on 28 and 29 of January. Tonda competed as well and the pictures of him in the snow are too beautiful not to share!
