The Dutch Basenji Specialty was held on Saturday September 17 in Woerden. It was extra special for us, because all Aoide's puppies from the "Shameless" litter were present. Jody was there with his pregnant owner, who even handled him herself in the ring and Tonda came with his humans and Basenji-brothers all the way from the Czech Republic!
The four 'puppies', mom Aoide and Mirtillo were all entered for the show. The judge was Erwin Manders. Jody (Suaralayn Karma Houdini) and Tonda (Suaralayn Orange Boy) were both entered in the intermediate class. Jody became third with a Very Good and Tonda got a Good.

Mirtillo was shown in the veteran class for the first time. He got a 1 Excellent and became Best Veteran!

Debbie (Suaralayn Pollyanna Principle) was the first of our girls that was allowed to enter the ring. She was beautifully handled by Marieke and became second in intermediate class with a Very Good.
Then it was Maeva's turn. She was shown in the breeders class. She also got a second place with a Very Good.

Mom Aoide became third in champion class with an Excellent.
At the end of the day, Mirtillo and Aoide were shown together for the first time. They became second best pair. Aoide also entered the ring with her two sons and daughters in the progeny class. Together they won a wonderful first place and became Best Progeny group! A great end to an already perfect day!
